My player shows a white screen, what do I do?

How do I sign up for a free trial?
Step 1:
Fill in your email address and password. Then click the “Continue” button:
Step 2:
Fill in your personal details, and click the “Continue” button. The fields marked with asterisk (*) are mandatory
Step 3:
Choose your favorite free trial offering. You will be charged only after you have completed your 2 week trial:
- Single channel
- A package (Action pack, Drama pack, Bollywood pack, Zee pack)
- All channels
- Build your own package
Click the "Continue" button to proceed:
Step 4:
Payment information:
- After choosing the free trial offering click the "Continue" button.
- Click on the check box "I agree to the below conditions and the terns of use"
- Click on the "Start Membership" button to proceed and start enjoying watching your favorite channels.

Your WatchIndia.TV membership, which starts with a 2 weeks free trial, will begin when you click Start Membership. Cancel at anytime in your first 2 weeks, and you will not be charged.
To cancel, contact our customer support by email at customersupport@watchindia.tv.
If you are enjoying WatchIndia.TV, do nothing and your membership will automatically continue for as long as you wish at the membership level you selected during the sign up. You can change your membership at anytime. We limit the free trial to one per Credit Card. A valid payment method is required. If you have any questions, please take a look at our terms and condition. You must acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Terms of Use to continue.
Cancel anytime – really.
For your convenience, we take your credit card information so that we don’t interrupt your membership at the end of the free trial and also as a security measure against potential piracy.
If you cancel before the end of the free trial – you won’t get charged. All your details and card information are safe. We use SSL encryption to secure all our personal data and transaction data.
We at, WatchIndia.TV, value your privacy and respect it. We accept all major Credit Cards, including MasterCard, Visa and American Express. We also accept PayPal payments. Once your free trial has ended, you are authorizing us to automatically charge your card for the price of the package you have chosen. What information will the customer support need in order to help me as quickly as possible?
Here are some questions our customer support may need in order to help you:
- What type of computer do you use?
- What Internet Browser do you use? (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox etc.) and what is its version, if known? (e.g. Internet Explorer 6.0)
- What Operating System do you use? (Windows XP, Mac OS etc.)
- What speed and type of Internet connection do you use? (Broadband, Dial-up etc.)
- Are you behind a corporate firewall (i.e. are you working in an office building)?
- Do you receive any error messages? If so, please give us more details on this.
- Please describe thoroughly the problem you are experiencing. Also, report on any attempts to fix the problem, if such where undertaken.

I cannot login to the website
- Please verify your account details: username and password. These were sent to you in an Email when you first registered to the site.
- In case you receive an error message please follow the instructions on the screen.
- In case you forgot your password insert your username, click on “forgot password” and you will receive the password by Email.
- Please note that you can access the WatchIndia.TV service only from a single location at a time. Dual login is prohibited.

After a while, I automatically got logged off (disconnected), what happened?
After 3 hours (180 minutes), a log off prompt window will appear. If you wish to continue watching, simply click “OK”, otherwise, the system will automatically disconnect your login session

I cannot see any video on the website?
- Please note that WatchIndia.tv isn’t available in India.

- Install the latest version of Silverlight and try viewing again. "How do I install silverlight?"
- Update audio/video codecs:
- On Microsoft media player Click on "Tools" menu:
- Select "Options":
- Select "Player" tab:
- Check the box "Download codecs automatically":
- Click "OK":
- Close "Microsoft media player" and your Browser.
- Login to www.Watchindia.tv website and try viewing again.
- Reset your router and modem:
- Turn off your router or modem, wait for 1 minute and then turn it back on.
- Restart your Internet explorer browser, Login to www.WatchIndia.TV website and try viewing again
- Check your graphic and audio hardware drivers. If these are out-of-date, try to upgrade them.

What should I do if the audio is not working?
- First, make sure that you can get sound from your PC by playing a CD, mp3 or try other websites (i.e www.youtbe.com) to check if the audio is working on your computer.
- Check the audio level on your computer:
- Clicking "Stat" button:

- Click "Control Panel":

- Click "Sounds":

- Make sure the volume is enabled and turned up:

- Check whether "mater Volume" or "Wave" is not on "Mute":

- Make sure the volume is enabled and turned up.
- Make sure WatchIndia.TV’s player is not set on "Mute" sign and increase the volume by using the
buttons

- If your PC can make sound (play a .mp3 file), you need to update your video/audio codecs.
Update audio/video codecs
- On Microsoft media player Click on "Tools" menu:

- Select "Options":

- Select "Player" tab.:

- Check the box "Download codecs automatically":
- Click "OK":
- Close "Microsoft media player" and your Browser.
- Login to www.Watchindia.tv website and try viewing again.
- If the problem persists, update your sound card drivers depending on the user’s sound card vendor.

Is WatchIndia.TV service available everywhere in the world?
The service is available everywhere except India.

Can I view the WatchIndia.TV on my television?
Yes, you can! You can connect your PC to TV, by using a simple S-Video cable and an RCA / VGA audio cable. Click on view full screen to watch WatchIndia.TV on a regular TV screen.
How to connect your PC to the television
VGA TV to PC Connection:
You Need:

Making the Connection:
Attach the VGA cable to your computer’s VGA output port (the same one to which you connect your monitor). Connect the other end to your TV.
You need a separate connector for audio. Generally a stereo 1/8” mini-plug to RCA stereo cable will work for this purpose. Connect the mini-plug to the computer audio out jack and the red and white RCA plugs to the corresponding inputs on the TV.
Your PC should automatically configure the display on your TV. If you encounter problems or need more information, consult the manual for your computer’s video card or your computer manufacturer.
S-Video TV to PC Connection:
You Need:

If your PC has an S-Video output, connect one end of the S-Video cable to it and the other end to the S-Video input on your TV.
You need a separate connector for audio. Generally a stereo 1/8” mini-plug to RCA stereo cable will work for this purpose. Connect the mini-plug to the computer audio out jack and the red and white RCA plugs to the corresponding inputs on the TV.
Your PC should automatically configure the display on your TV. If you encounter problems or need more information, consult the manual for your computer’s video card or your computer manufacturer.
Composite Video TV to PC Connection:
You Need:

A Composite Video cable has three RCA plugs on either end: video, stereo audio left, stereo audio right.
Most computers that have a Composite Video output port do not have the corresponding RCA audio outputs, therefore you may need a separate connector for audio. Generally a stereo 1/8” mini-plug to RCA stereo cable will work for this purpose. Connect the mini-plug to the computer audio out jack and the red and white RCA plugs to the corresponding inputs on the TV.
Your PC should automatically configure the display on your TV. If you encounter problems or need more information, consult the manual for your computer’s video card or your computer manufacturer.
DVI TV to PC Connection:
You Need:

Connect the DVI cable to the output port of your PC and the other end to the DVI input on your TV.
You will need a separate connector for audio. Generally a stereo 1/8” mini-plug to RCA stereo cable will work for this purpose. Connect the mini-plug to the computer audio out jack and the red and white RCA plugs to the corresponding inputs on the TV.

Can I save or download your content to my PC?
No, our content is delivered only as a streaming media file and cannot be saved on your computer. However, in the near future, we will open a 'Download Store' for the downloadable content.

I have a lot of buffering and the video gets stuck, what should I do?
To minimize your computer's buffering time please try the following steps on live feed:
- Make sure there are no other tasks running on your computer at the time of viewing, especially peer to peer programs (e.g kazaa, limelight, emule)
- Click on 'Settings' tab and choose the lower connection speed


- If you are using a wireless connection, simply plug the network cable directly to your computer and try viewing the video again.

How do I use the TV guide?
WatchIndia.tv’s TV guide shows you everything that's on in the next week for all channels. The TV guide can display all the channels you need at the click of a button.
You can get to the interactive guide by using the "TV Guide” tab at the top of the page

The guide will open to show you what is on TV right now - use the scrollbars to navigate up and down the channels to see what programs are being broadcast. You can use the horizontal scrollbars to see the rest of the day.
Program information
If you see a program that interests you, you can mouse over it and click for more information. A pop up box will give you some more details, such as an episode summary, how long the show is, cast members.

Click "Close" button to close the information box.

How do I use the WatchIndia.TV player?
WatchIndia.TV's player layout:
- For full screen mode –simply click on "Full screen button"
- Click "Volume buttons" to adjust volume level
- To Scroll Video On demand clips simply click the "scroll buttons"
- Mute audio by clicking on the "Mute" button.

How do I use Video On Demand service?
- Click on the "Video On Demand" button as shown below:

- Click on the desired channel.
- On the lower half of the screen, a list of programs appears. Click on the program name.

- A list of episodes appears. Click on the episode name to start watching. Enjoy!

How do I change my bandwidth?
To change your connection speeds use the following steps:
- Click on "Settings" tab and choose the lower connection speed

Where can I find the instructions for my WatchIndiaTV Set-Top Box?

Can I use the Set-Top Box with my wireless connection?
- The WatchIndia Set-Top Box must be connected to your broadband internet router with a cable.
Even if you are currently connecting to the internet via wireless, your router still has ports where you can plug in an Ethernet cable.
This way you will be able to use the Set-Top Box with your current router.
(The Set-Top Box includes an Ethernet cable, there is no need to purchase one separately.)

Our Set-Top Box does the work instead of your PC.
